The Canadian Helpers Society held a bake sale on July 25th, 2021, at Waterloo park to sell bakery products.

The objective of this sale was to collect donations through selling these products. Some people came to our table, but others could not notice the table because the park was busy and we didn’t have posters. So, we had to go to them and provide a treat.

We realized that families with kids, couples and huge families are most likely to donate. Telling people that they can help anything was encouraging and provided them with leeway. Generally, we could implement our plan successfully except for spotting the exact location because the park administrators had not marked a predefined place for us. However, we try to get a refund or half payment back by negotiating with the administrators.

For the next sale, we are planning to organize a more effective event by using big boards and balloons to attract more attention, identifying the exact location, arranging the event in a busier place, using social media more widely, using the organization name on the cupcakes, defining the goals of the donations to inform the people.
